Are you ready to join an established, growing manufacturer near Cannock? Athwal Resourcing is seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant to take ownership of the full Accounts receivable and sales ledger process. This is your opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, reporting directly to the Finance Manager and playing a critical role.
Imagine a role where you will be at the heart of the finance operations, taking ownership of the Accounts Receivable process where you can use your skills to process sales orders, manage and reconcile the sales ledger, chase outstanding debt, and resolve queries, ensure smooth and consistent cash flow for the business. You’ll work closely with various departments and stakeholders and build relationships with customers, contributing to the overall success of our business. Responsibilities include:
- Sales Order Processing Ensure sales orders are accurate and processed onto the system and new customers are set up;
- Sales Ledger and Credit Control processing sales invoicing in Navision, issuing commercial invoices, sales return review, issuing credit notes/credit and rebills, issuing all customer statements, including chasing outstanding customer debt;
- Query Management Customer reviews and resolution of outstanding price queries and missing quotes and customer proof of delivery queries;
- Adhoc duties and Administration: Collating and filing delivery documentation, as necessary, to support the Finance Manager & Finance Team in ensuring adequate cover as and when required.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Ideally, you will be studying AAT or AAT-qualified,
- Experience in accounts receivables experience would be advantageous within a manufacturing environment;
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively at all levels and build effective working relationships;
- Highly IT literate in Excel with sound systems knowledge (Navision would be advantageous);
- Able to effectively understand and manage information at a detailed level;
- Proactive, positive can-do attitude;
- Ability to work to deadlines, use own initiative and be part of a team.
